Maybe you sing but do not have a band to sing with – we can make that happen.
Maybe you sing or play an instrument but don’t have someone to play or sing with – we can make that happen.
Maybe you have written songs to be sung and you need a voice – we can make that happen.
Maybe you are a fully formed band or an artist in need of support and a platform for you to share your sounds – we can provide that support and platform.
We are so lucky to have a team of 5 brilliant professional music mentors. They will visit your school/college to tell you all about this exciting opportunity. They will be present at the auditions and they will support the finalists on their journey to the Hastings Pier Stage where so many famous bands and musicians have played.

Brad Gross

Hey you. My name is Brad. Like Pitt. Yea, I know what that means. I’m a musician and science communicator. Meaning I hit things, and set things on fire. I’m originally from the USA, but a girl with a British accent charmed me into living here 15 years ago, And I stayed. Sigh. I work with several random music projects, a 9 piece brass marching band, a new Orleans rhythm and blues singer, a jazz vibraphone trio and a high brow party dance band. I also run comedy nights, an after school club for cool kids and mentor young adults with Eggtooth. I’m all about random versatility. I want to hear some new music. So. Get your ducks in a row, and get ready for the show. Kick the tyres and light the fires. Push the pedal to the metal. Get involved and get into it. Life is short and then you die. Get organized. Got something to say? We are looking for you.

Brigitte Aphrodite

Brigitte Aphrodite is a punk, feminist showgirl, and poetical music performance artist who has a loyal following due to her her approach to multidisciplinary art and social expression. In her former years she has toured her music with the likes of Kate Nash and Josie Long. Brigitte is most recently known for her critically acclaimed show – ‘My Beautiful Black Dog’ – a part gig, part theatre, modern day, punk musical exploring depression. The show sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe circuit, was featured on the BBC 10 O’Clock News and in the Guardian and Elle mag. Gathering big momentum in 2015/16 the show went on to tour the UK and sell out dates at the Southbank Centre.

Marie White

I am a Hastings based singer/song writer. At just 20 years old I have supported many established artists, featured on BBC Radio Kent, and headlined sold out venues.
After going it alone for many years, a 5 piece covers band, was formed, who are often used in my original line up, along side two incredibly talented backing vocalists.

I am now in the process of recording for my new EP Blue Jumper which I hope to be released soon! This will be available on iTunes, spotify, band camp and many other well known sites to download. In the meantime, I plan to continue gigging across the Sussex/Kent area, and enjoy doing what I love!

Gaz Tomlinson

Quiet Boy’s first EP ‘Earwig’ is due for release in Spring 2017 showcasing bold unique songwriting and vocal approach that comes directly from the heart. It’s hooky, infectious, heartbreaking dream-electronica is comparable in style to contemporaries such as ‪Alt J‬, ‪Glass Animals‬, Phealeh and Maribou but in no way a straight copy.‬‬

Quiet Boy’s band are a burst of life offering a heavy poly-rhythmic punch, all weaving lines of pretty piano, romantic strings and deep bass webs. The multi-instrumentalist 5 piece only began playing live mid 2016 playing sold out shows at the prestigious London SouthBank Centre, Hackney Showrooms, Margate Arts Club and supporting ‘‪Teleman‬’ at Ramsgate Music Hall to name but a few. ‬

Quiet Boy is a band headed by Gaz Tomlinson and co written with Russell Ditchfield.
